My Poetry: Love

I have been writing poetry since I was twelve years old, maybe younger. I have never shared my poems except for with a few select friends. Then it hit me. What's the point of writing it if no one can read it? I hope you enjoy these and maybe one or two will resonate with you...

PS .I have many, and I mean many, poems and I will add them as I go :)

A GAME TOO MANY HAVE PLAYED

Love it comes and sometimes strays
And you may remorse for many days
It will pierce your heart like stabbing knives
Pondering his thoughts, truths, and lies
You question yourself where did you go wrong
Who am I to be with, where do I belong
But loves they come and sometimes fade
Love's a game too many have played
You sometimes win, you sometimes lose
And in the end you feel used...
You'll have your worries, you'll have your doubts
Wondering if it will ever work out
But no matter how hard you must always try
You will giggle, laugh, and sometimes cry
And you'll always ask why...
But you can't alter love's sweet plan
In the end you'll have your man
In the end you'll find happiness and truth
Whether in the supermarket or the kissing booth
Love himself will bring  him your way
Just hold on until that fateful day
It's a game you cannot escape
Keep holding on and trust in fate!

YOUNG LOVE

Eyes lock
Cheeks of Roses
Hearts jump
Don't look away
Smile
Nod
Pass by
Look back
Last Glance
...Young love

LOVE OF MINE

I call to thee sweet love of mine
Hear my plea through space and time
As I send my wish to the morning star
And pray you be the least bit far
Come sweet love my arms do beckon
Sensuous beats my heart does reckon
Calm my present fear amiss
Bless my soul with a starlit kiss
Gracious love of mine I must confess
My heart does flutter beneath my breast
I await thee, sweet love of mine
May angel's wings carry you forth in time

DREAM COME TRUE

Kiss, giggle, smile and tease
Tell me you love me; make me weak in the knees
Tell me you need me and you’ll never leave
Tell me you want me, I’m the one that you need
Hold me tight outside in the snow
Kiss me and promise to never let go
Let’s snuggle together by the fire
You can tell me your every desire
I want to make your dreams come true
Mine already have; I’ve got you

LOVES SWEET GAME

Black as night; deep as pain
Hearts do hurt; in love’s sweet game
Love’s arms so sweet embrace
Blankly stares; does its hidden face
Search so far in ones sweet soul
Find such fate; as lovers goal
Behind mine eyes; lies such fear
To speak the truth; yet not hear
Sweet is love; bitter is betrayal
Open one’s heart; lest not fail

LOVE’S CRY

I gaze out shaded windows to the stars above
Am I in love with the idea of being in love?
Love seems a distant star glittering in the sky
On the darkest of nights it will always shine
A tear drop reflects loves that have died
Too many love’s tears have been cried
Love’s cry echoes through the night
As hearts do break in a lover’s fight
My heart aches as I witness another love die
….A shooting star falling from the sky

MIDNIGHT MOON

Oh come thee soon sweet midnight moon
To shower the world with thy radiant light
Cast your spell making lost lovers swoon
And brighten this so dreary a night

Love To Be

One sweet soul love has found
To lift her spirits from the ground
Shining eyes and warming smile
Love has made all worth while
Such sweet embrace never part
Sweet love to be for eternity

SWEET LOVE RISE

Not dying, though deep pain will hide
Sweet time, love does take to bide
Soul to soul; Love collectively bind
Searching hearts do pray tell find
Akin to blank parchment awaiting script still
Many a heart hurt; taxing immense will
Abiding time while just few words need be penciled in
Many a soul pray to procure love once again
Day by day as each sun does inexplicably rise
Sweetest song resounds within the skies
Love does bind so many a heart throughout time
Come sweet love; carry with thee, here, mine
